Tell me if you have already had this scenario: you had students who attended for years and then suddenly stopped coming. They decided to either stop taking your classes or go to another Art Studio. It leaves you confused and sometimes even heartbroken. When you asked them what they made that decision they will say things like: “We can’t afford it anymore”, “We are focusing on sports now”. Many times, those are not real reasons, and you might never know whet happened for sure. But there is an easy way to make them stay. HOW, you ask? BY CALLING THEM EVERY 3 MONTHS! You or your staff can just give a quick call to ask how things are going, ask for a little feedback or just let them know you appreciate their business! Carve out a few hours the first week of January, April, July, October to touch base with your students or parents: call everyone who is taking a class. Yes, it will take a while call everyone, but it is a proven sales strategy that works every single time, regardless of who your Customer is. Why? People want to be engaged and to belong to a community that cares about them. E-mail will not have the same result, it must be a personal phone call by you or your staff. Here are 4 things you could ask on the call, after thanking them for their business:
Limit the call to 15 min, otherwise you will be on the phone for 2 hrs Start the call with: “I have 15 minutes, so I wanted to give you a call”. Your turn ... pick up the phone! Discover more ways to grow your Art Studio Business.
