Love it or hate it, social media is the darling when it comes to engaging and keeping in front of your Students and their Parents. It is the Town Hall for your Business where you show up daily to be seen, known, and to engage with others. Free Download: 4 Weeks Content Calendar You might be a person who posts easily on social media, or one who is private and wants to keep to themselves. If you are the latter, it is time to make some changes and put your business and yourself out there. But even when you are acing social media, the question is still there: who has enough ideas to post every.single.day? It is nothing worse than staring at a screen and scratching your head for ideas. If this sounds like you, I got your back! In this post I will give you the type of post you can create for every day of the week, so all you need is to do is fill them with your own content. Motivational MONDAY This is a great way to start the week and get your mindset, and that of your students and their parents, into a positive place. You can post:
Behind the scene/Meet the Team TUESDAY This is when you can go a little more personal and let your audience into your life. They are interested in you, and this is a great way to connect with them. Feel free to use humor and let your (and your team’s) personality come through. You can post about:
Live WEDNESDAY Social Media “lives” are hugely valuable to engage with your audience. There are easy to set up (a cellphone will do) and instantly showcase your knowledge and style. You can post:
Throwback THURSDAY This is a good way to go down memory lane about things that happened in your studio or surroundings. It doesn’t need to be class specific; it can be anything that your audience can relate too. Nostalgia, emotional connection and showing why you are the “go-to” Studio is the purpose here. You can post:
Fun FRIDAY The week is almost over, so why not share some humor with your community? It can be anything that puts a smile on your Students’ and their Parents’ faces. You can post:
Idea SATURDAY This can be a quick video, audio, text, or link. Post about things you’ve been thinking about or information your audience would find helpful. This can serve as a conversation starter. You can post:
Wrap-Up SUNDAY On Sundays, a lot of your Students and their Parents are online. This is the time to be there with them and share your wins from the week. Add a call to action, an action you want your audience to take, like check out your new classes or take advantage of your promotion (bring a friend and get a free class, etc.) You can post from the previous week:
Free Download: 4 Weeks Content Calendar All this might seem overwhelming, but you can start slow with a 2-3 days of weekly content, then add as you go. Here is what you can do: 1. Start a Swipe Folder (online and/or physical) and start saving content for inspiration or to share. 2. Block off a couple of hours in a quiet place and write down everything you can think of. Don’t hold back, no idea is too dumb. Once done, sort them in categories for the week. You can ask your team (if you have one), or a trusted friend or parent to brainstorm with you. 3. In a day or so, come back to your list, add more ideas to each category and try to have enough content for 3-4 weeks. Don’t worry if there are gaps, or if you don’t cover all 7 days. You can always add when an idea comes to your mind or into your swipe folder. This is the start of a work in progress. 4. Block off another few hours, and batch produce as much content as you can: list what articles, pictures and videos you want to share, pre-record your videos or write your blogs. Then schedule the posts ahead of time. This way you will relieve your stress of constantly recording and scheduling content and all you will have to do is the live videos and add a few missing pieces. It doesn't have to be complete off the bat, do your best. The more you post, the more content you will have. Pretty soon you will be able to start recycling some of it. So, the large workload is really at the beginning. It will get easier with time. You got this! Let me know how it goes in the comments below.
