![]() Your web design can make or break your Art Studio’s goals. In today’s ever moving era, you have 10 seconds to leave an impression. After this time (and oftentimes before), your visitors will leave. Having a killer website is a must, you have no other choice. Please check your website and see if you have any of these mistakes: Mistake #1 – Social Media Logos on the top
This is a common problem for websites to have, and welcomes users to leave your site right away while encouraging distraction. We all want more followers on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and more. But by overloading your studio’s website with social media live feeds or links, you might actually be missing out on inquiries from potential new students. Once they leave your site for social media, they fall into a scrolling rabbit hole and may never come back to your site. Put them on the side. Put them in the middle. Put them at the bottom. Put them anywhere but the top. Mistake #2 - Your Site Is All About “I” Not “You” It’s crucial to tell the visitor why THEY are going to benefit from taking a class in your Art Studio. Tell the visitor what you are going to do for THEM. Are you sharing with them how they will feel and what they will experience when they come to class? Or, are you telling them all about you and how amazing your Art Studio is? You want to shift your conversation to what’s in it for them/their child. Mistake #3 – No Testimonials Good testimonials help your Art Studio stand out and establish credibility. They work because they aren’t strong sales pitches, they come from students and parents just like the ones who are thinking about signing up for a class. Have a testimonial for each market segment you are serving. For example, a preschool parent, a teenager or someone who overcome an obstacle by learning how to draw. Use stories that your potential students or parents can relate to. Mistake #4 – No Video A video can vividly capture your Art Studio’s personality. What makes you unique and is an efficient way to build trust and credibility with potential students and parents. Include clips from classes, teachers talking to camera, and you, the Art Studio Owner, speaking about your vision and why you created your Art Studio. Mistake #5 – No clear Call for Action We’ve all landed on a site where we simply don’t know where to click first. Your students or parents might have come to sign up for an art class, but were instantly disoriented by an array of buttons, promotions, and obstacles in their way. Have a clear call to action: make sure they find the class they are looking for and have a clear button for signing up. Now it is the time to take action. If you know your website needs an overhaul, jump to it this week! |
